If you are appearing for NDA-II 2019 this weekend, you must have thought about NDA answer keys. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) releases NDA answer keys after the conclusion of all the stages of the selection process. The answer key will be available for all sets of all papers on the official website – upsc.gov.in. However, coaching institutes like Baalnoi (Major Kalshi’s), Cavalier, Aim & Achieve, etc. release unofficial answer keys right after the written exams end. Candidates appearing for the exam on November 17 should keep a track on their websites to get NDA answer key. Meanwhile, you can check previous years’ NDA question papers and answer keys to practice.
You can use the answer key to check your responses, calculate your score and analyse it alongside previous NDA Cut Off to find out if you’ll clear the exam. NDA answer key is released separately for Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT).
To be able to calculate the score efficiently, you must know the marking scheme of the exam.
Marking Scheme Details | Mathematics | GAT | |
English | General | ||
Total Questions | 120 | 50 | 100 |
Marks for each correct answer | 2.5 | 4 | 4 |
Marks for an incorrect answer | 0.88 | 1.3 | 1.3 |
Total Marks for the Paper | 300 | 200 | 400 |
Find the number of correct and incorrect responses that you have made and then use this formula to calculate your score –
Total score = Number of correct questions X marks as per subject * – Number of incorrect questions X negative marking as per subject*
Note that you will only find the question numbers and their correct options in the answer key. So while checking the answer key, you’d want to keep the question paper handy.
Unlike other competitive exams, you cannot challenge NDA answer key. But candidates who have taken the exam can make representations against the question paper until after a few days after the exam.
It’s high time that you conclude preparations and take practice tests, solve previous years’ question papers, sample papers, etc.
All the best.
